Refund Policy

Basic Policy

Due to the nature of Monitope as a digital content service, we generally do not accept returns or refunds. However, we will provide refunds in the following exceptional cases.

Eligible for Refund

1. Service Malfunction

Refunds will be provided if the following conditions are met:

  • The service was unavailable for more than 30 consecutive days due to a critical malfunction
  • The issue was caused by a technical problem on our end
  • You contacted support promptly after the malfunction occurred

※Issues caused by the user's environment (internet connection, browser settings, etc.) are not eligible.

2. Double Billing

If you were charged twice for the same plan, we will refund the duplicate amount in full.

  • Refund target: Duplicate charges only
  • Required: Copy of credit card statement

3. Billing After Cancellation

If billing continues after the cancellation process is completed, we will refund the amount charged during that period in full.

  • Confirmation that the cancellation process was completed
  • You contacted us promptly after the incorrect charge occurred

Not Eligible for Refund

The following cases are not eligible for refunds:

  • Cancellation or termination at the customer's convenience
  • Service content does not meet expectations or personal preference
  • Price difference due to plan changes (upgrade or downgrade)
  • "Changed my mind" requests after using the service
  • Issues caused by the customer's environment (internet connection, browser, device, etc.)
  • Unauthorized use by third parties (customer's account management responsibility)
  • Account suspension due to violation of Terms of Service

Refund Process

  1. Contact Support

    Subject: "Refund Request"

    Please submit via the Contact Form.

  2. Provide Required Information
    • Registered email address
    • Reason for refund request
    • Billing date and amount in question
    • Copy of credit card statement (relevant portion only)
  3. Review

    We will notify you of the review result within 5 business days of your contact.

  4. Refund Processing

    After approval, the refund will be processed to your payment method (credit card) within 7-14 business days.

Refund Amount

  • The refund amount will be based on the exchange rate at the time of billing
  • The actual refund amount may differ slightly due to credit card company processing
  • We will cover any fees associated with the refund

Pro-rated Refunds

Monitope does not generally provide pro-rated refunds. After cancellation, you can continue to use the service until the next renewal date.

Supplementary Provisions

These supplementary provisions take effect on January 21, 2026.
